Yun-Pu Yang is the Senior Online Learning Instructional Technician at Shasta College in Redding, California, where she integrates technology, education, and her lifelong passions.

She earned her Ph.D. in Theater and Performance Studies and a Graduate Certificate in Digital Humanities from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2024. Her dissertation explores the gender performances of 20th-century Peking opera actresses in mainland China and Taiwan. Her research interests span East Asian theater (with a focus on Taiwan and China), gender and sexuality, Sinophone studies, digital humanities, and educational technology.
